Any work my team and I carry out on your behalf should be considered complimentary to, not instead of, formal steps that you will need to take yourself, such as formal complaint and appeals processes. No information or suggestions received from my team should be treated as formal legal or specialist advice.
How I can help:
Communicate with Headteachers when you have concerns about your child’s education to try and find a resolution
Address concerns around child safety before and after school
Support your child with their SEND requirements and liaise with the relevant authorities
What I can't do:
Demand that your child is placed in a certain school: this is set by Nottinghamshire County Council as well as the Academy Trusts.
Interfere in a school’s disciplinary process: although your appeal rights should be communicated to you clearly by the school
Represent you in any legal proceedings
